Benefit Show for Cody @ R+R Gallery | Friday, 8/26

Cody_front

Cody’s friends have all banded together to organize a fundraiser to aid in Cody’s recovery. Hosted by R+R gallery this Friday, August 26, the show will feature original works donated by more than 20 supporting artists as well as a wide assortment of donated product supplied by a multitude of individuals and brands - everything will be available in a silent auction format with no minimum bids with 100% of the proceeds going to Cody for help with the bills and expenses related to his injury.

The event will also feature live performances from the Dark Furs (Miss Suzanne May’s newest musical project) the beautiful and talented Tessa Comrie as well as special guest Alex Woods.

We will also be offering two different hand-screened tees featuring Cody’s artwork. We will have a screen press set up at the event and will be producing the tees throughout the event. We will update the blog with a preview of the graphics soon.

The gallery will be stacked with art and product for amazing deals, the performances will be epic, the bar will be pumping and the whole place will be jam-packed with babes of all sorts - just the way Cody would like it. Come through and show your support!

About this Blog

Cody Moto

On the afternoon of Friday, August 5th, our good friend, son and brother Cody Comrie sustained serious injuries when he collided with a car that made a blind left turn, blocking his path as he was crossing the intersection of Beverly and Larchmont on his 1978 Suzuki GS1000. He collided with the car at approximately 35-40 miles per hour, striking the drivers door and window with the right side of his face and body. He was transported by ambulance to nearby Cedar Sinai where he underwent immediate head surgery to alleviate swelling on the brain. After eight hours with Cedar’s skilled neurosurgeons, Cody was stabilized and transferred to ICU to begin recovery. He spent several days there dealing with his injuries and has made enough progress to be transferred to a regular room. He has since woken up and is alert (when he’s not sleeping), and healing well. Cody is improving every day thanks to his own fortitude, the expert care of the docs, nurses and staff at Cedars, and in no small part, to the love and support that has been pouring in from friends and family all over the world.

We have created this blog as a source of updates on Cody’s condition, as well as an open forum to display the constant show of support and love provided by so many on his behalf. As Cody’s family and closest friends, we would like to thank everyone for their continued and constant love, support and assistance throughout this ordeal. Please check this blog for daily updates, and if you have anything to share please do not hesitate to email us at codyscomeback@gmail.com
